Gas Tag to hire “best talent” as it plans to double size of team
Gas Tag is planning to double the size of its team – from 20 to over 40 – after securing a multi-million pound investment.
The recruitment drive follows the investment from leading private equity house Waterland, which valued the business at more than £20million.
Gas Tag harnesses the latest technology to help landlords, housing associations and local authorities to tackle the widespread problem of illegal gas fitters and enforce gas and fire safety regulations.
As soon as a physical Gas Tag is installed on the gas outlet in a property, the software platform tracks and records all of the property’s gas appliances and any gas works carried out at the property – and can only be used by qualified Gas Safe registered engineers. It also prompts the engineer to check if Smoke Alarms and CO alarms are still operable.
John Roche, Operations Director of Gas Tag, said: “The investment into the business allows us to scale the business at pace and, in order to do so, we will need to continue identifying and attracting the very best talent to join the Gas Tag team.”
Since launching earlier this year, Gas Tag has won the backing of a number of MPs and industry figures, who believe the company’s technology will bring about a revolution in gas safety.
John added: “Gas Tag is unique in providing housing associations, local authorities and landlords with a real time, proactive approach to gas and fire safety.
“We are already looking beyond gas and adding further game-changing products aimed at safety compliance. Constant innovation and new product development is central to our long-term business strategy.”
Gas Tag was founded by Paul Durose and Stephen Ullathorne. Gas Tag technology has already been taken up by a growing number of housing associations and local authorities committed to improving safety and compliance across their housing stock.
The business is actively recruiting project managers, account managers and software developers for its Liverpool headquarters. If you are interested in a position with Gas Tag, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your CV.
